Ton Duc Thang University Signs an MoU with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education
On April 29, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony to establish and develop the cooperative relationship between two universities.
The TDTU delegation, led by Dr. Tran Trong Dao, paid an official visit and held a working session at HCMUTE. On behalf of HCMUTE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang - President of HCMUTE - welcomed and worked with the TDTU delegation. The meeting was also attended by representatives from various units of both universities.
According to the content of the MoU, both parties agreed to cooperate based on the principles of equality, voluntariness, mutual respect, and coordinated efforts carried out with the highest sense of responsibility and commitment. The collaboration aims to leverage the strengths and potential of each institution to serve common interests and contribute positively to the development of both universities.
Both institutions committed to jointly implementing key pillars of cooperation in the areas of education, training, events, and human resources. Some specific areas of collaboration include:
- Collaborating on the exchange of lecturers, experts, and scientists to participate in teaching and research; organizing academic activities; jointly developing and implementing interdisciplinary study programs and joint study programs both domestically and internationally; and participating in the supervision of theses and dissertations.
- Sharing and effectively utilizing academic resources, including learning materials, databases, laboratories, libraries, and technology platforms to support training and research activities.
- Collaborating to develop, link, and implement training and professional development programs in pedagogy particularly in the fields of engineering, technology, and education with the aim of enhancing teaching capacity, pedagogical methods, and educational activity organization skills for lecturers, staff, and students of both universities.
- Facilitating opportunities for lecturers, staff, and researchers from both institutions to participate in joint research groups, conduct scientific topics and projects, and publish research works. At the same time, coordinating the implementation of key research programs, projects, and initiatives at the ministerial, national, and international levels, aligned with each institution’s development orientation.
... and several other cooperation contents and terms as mutually agreed upon.
The MoU between the two universities will be implemented during the period from 2025 to 2028. It is expected that every April, the two institutions will hold a review meeting to evaluate the results of the collaboration over the past year and develop a cooperation plan for the following year, ensuring it aligns with the actual circumstances.
