Ton Duc Thang University Hosts a Working Session with the Delegation of the Agency for Teachers and Education Administrators
On January 22, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted a working session with a delegation of the Agency for Teachers and Education Administrators, under the Ministry of Education and Training. The visit aimed to conduct surveys and professional consultations in support of the drafting of a Circular regulating the standards, conditions, and procedures for the appointment and dismissal of Professor and Associate Professor titles in higher education.
The delegation was led by Dr. Vu Minh Duc, Director General of the Agency for Teachers and Education Administrators. Representing TDTU was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of the University, along with leaders of various units under the University.

At the working session, both parties actively engaged in discussions to:
- Review the University’s implementation of Professor and Associate Professor appointments in accordance with Decision No. 37/2018/QĐ-TTg;
- Seek professional consultations for the development of a Circular regarding standards and conditions, mechanisms and policies, procedures and processes, as well as the mechanism for self-recognition and appointment within higher education institutions.
The working session recorded numerous professional and practical contributions from TDTU lecturers, demonstrating the University’s responsibility and role in the shared mission of enhancing training quality, research, and the sustainable development of higher education.
As part of the program, the delegation toured several of TDTU’s facilities, including the Library, the Sports Complex, and the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS). Director General Vu Minh Duc highly commended the University’s learning and research environment, as well as its student support system.
The working session with the delegation of the Agency for Teachers and Education Administrators not only demonstrates TDTU’s proactive role in contributing to the development of higher education policies, but also reaffirms the University’s commitment to innovation and to enhancing the quality of education – beginning with serious and sustained investment aimed at building a high-quality human resources workforce.
