Ton Duc Thang University Hosts an Online Connection Point for the National Conference on Studying and Implementing Politburo Resolutions No. 79 and No. 80

On February 25, 2026, the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized an online connection point to participate in the National Conference on studying and implementing Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW on the development of the State Economy and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on the development of Vietnamese culture, as issued by the Politburo.

The conference was organized by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee in a hybrid format, connecting the main venue at the Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly Building, to various broadcasting sites at central commissions, ministries, sectors, localities, and agencies nationwide. General Secretary To Lam attended and presided over the conference at the main site.

At the TDTU site, attendees included Comrade Tran Trong Dao – Secretary of the University Party Committee and President of TDTU, along with members of the University Party Executive Committee, Secretaries and Cell Committees of affiliated Party cells, the Chairperson of the University’s Trade Union, the Secretary of the University’s Youth Union, and all Party members within the University Party Committee.

The conference focused on several key thematic reports, including: “Core Contents of Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, issued by the Politburo on the Development of Vietnamese Culture” presented by Comrade Trinh Van Quyet, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mobilization Commission; “Core Contents of Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW dated January 6, 2026, issued by the Politburo on the Development of the State Economy” presented by Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghị, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairman of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission; and “Action Program for the Implementation of Resolutions No. 79 and 80” presented by Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister.

In his keynote address, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that these two resolutions are not merely parallel tasks but form a unified, mutually reinforcing developmental structure. Specifically, Resolution 79 builds the material internal strength for a strong and self-reliant nation, ensuring independence and readiness against all challenges. Meanwhile, Resolution 80 cultivates the spiritual internal strength to empower the nation with resilience and determination, preserve core values, inspire aspirations, and guide the country’s development in the right direction.

“I also firmly believe that with high political determination, the synchronized involvement of the political system, and the consensus of the entire society, along with a spirit of solidarity, discipline, and the aspiration to rise, we will quickly bring these two Resolutions into life, creating distinct transformations and contributing to building a Vietnam that rises strongly, develops sustainably, and remains independent and self-reliant”, General Secretary To Lam emphasized.

Through the conference, Party members within the TDTU Party Committee studied, grasped, and thoroughly understood Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, with a specific focus on new developments, core contents, and breakthrough points. On this basis, the University Party Committee and the Cell Committees of affiliated Party cells will lead and direct the formulation of action programs to organize the implementation of these two resolutions. Simultaneously, wide-scale dissemination will be conducted throughout the University Party Committee to foster a unified will and action during the implementation process, ensuring that Party members, employees, and learners firmly master the core contents and new features within these two Politburo resolutions.
