Ton Duc Thang University Organizes the First University-Wide Meeting for the Academic Year 2025-2026
On December 25, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the First University-Wide Meeting for the academic year 2025-2026. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of TDTU, along with members of the University’s Presidential Board, and the leaders from various Departments, Faculties, Institutes, and Centers, including both affiliated and directly subordinate units.

At the Meeting, the University’s Presidential Board, together with leaders of TDTU’s affiliated and directly subordinate units, reviewed the supervision report on the implementation of the President’s directives issued at the New Academic Year 2025-2026 Meeting (The Summer Conference). The report highlighted the results achieved, implementation progress, and operational effectiveness of each unit. Subsequently, the Meeting focused on discussions and exchanges regarding the current situation and future directions for the University’s key areas of work and activities, including:
- Policies for attracting high-quality human resources;
- Measures to improve quality and advance science and technology activities;
- Enhancing evaluation criteria and performance in prestigious international university rankings;
- Implementing high-quality human resource training, including elite engineer and gifted master’s programs in technology, engineering, and TDTU’s key priority disciplines;
- Measures to promote postgraduate education and support Master’s students and PhD candidates;
- Developing a system of smart classrooms and modern computer laboratories, and expanding advanced laboratories.

In addition, the Meeting focused on discussions regarding the progress of completing documentation in accordance with the required criteria for upgrading Ton Duc Thang University to Ton Duc Thang University system, as well as coordination efforts and implementation models for developing joint training programs with foreign educational institutions. These initiatives aim to align with international integration trends and enhance the University’s standing within the Vietnamese and international higher education systems.
In his concluding remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of TDTU, acknowledged the efforts of all units over the past academic year and emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of key tasks, while fostering a spirit of innovation, solidarity, and responsibility. The Presidential Board also put forward specific recommendations and solutions to ensure the successful implementation of the University’s plans and strategies in the coming period.
The University-Wide Meeting is a regular activity of TDTU, aimed at reviewing the implementation of immediate tasks, discussing plans and setting future directions, while also identifying long-term strategic objectives.
