Tuoi Tre Newspaper: Collaboration between Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Ton Duc Thang University in Communication Workforce Training
According to the cooperation agreement, the two parties will collaborate extensively in various fields and activities, including practical communication training for TDTU students and post-publication community engagement activities.
In addition, Tuoi Tre Newspaper will organize communication capacity-building courses for students, support students in their internships and practicum programs, and provide professional training in communications and public relations for TDTU’s lecturers and staff.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU – stated that the University has a 28-year history and can be considered relatively young within the Vietnamese higher education system.
In the current context of digital transformation, not only students but also lecturers need to enhance their media literacy and communication skills, particularly in the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
Therefore, thorough this cooperation, we hope that not only students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities but also students from other Faculties can have the opportunity to study, practice, and gain experience at Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
“We highly value this partnership and hope that with our strengths and capabilities, our University can cooperate efficiently and swiftly, contributing to the training mission of both the University and Tuoi Tre Newspaper,” said Dr. Tran Trong Dao.
In response to the statement of the President of Ton Duc Thang University, journalist Le The Chu, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, emphasized that although TDTU is relatively young, it has made a remarkable impact, affirming its position in Vietnam’s higher education system and global university rankings, with a strong brand identity and well-developed facilities.
These achievements reflect the vision, determination, and continuous efforts of the University’s leadership, lecturers, and students. In addition to teaching and research, the University has also collaborated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper through numerous programs, particularly post-publication initiatives that have made valuable contributions to the community.
Some TDTU students have become employees of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, while others have participated in internships and fieldwork at the Newsroom.
Mr. Le The Chu further shared that Tuoi Tre Newspaper has a 50-year history of commitment, connecting with young people, inspiring, and actively supporting education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Thus, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper remarked “This cooperation not only connects two major parties but also generates synergy toward shared values of intellect, innovation, sustainable development, and community service.”
Regarding practical training cooperation for students majoring in communications and public relations at TDTU, Mr. Le The Chu emphasized that students from various universities have engaged in hands-on learning, experimentation, and real-world training at Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
This form of training offers students to experience greater values. Thus, the cooperation with TDTU marks the beginning of more in-depth, more professional activities, creating greater values in the future.
