Vietnamnet Newspaper: MOET Held the Conference on Reviewing the Organization of the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination at Ton Duc Thang University
On September 26, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) convened the “Conference on Reviewing the Organization of the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination” at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Tan Hung Campus, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event was chaired by Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training and Head of the National Steering Committee for the High School Graduation Examination. Also in attendance were Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director General of the Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency; leaders of the MOET’s Departments; representatives from the Central Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Public Security, the Government Inspectorate, and the Government Cipher Committee. The conference brought together more than 500 delegates, including Presidents and Vice Presidents of universities, and Heads and Deputy Heads of Provincial and Municipal Departments of Education and Training from across the country.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong acknowledged the remarkable efforts and positive outcomes achieved by the entire education sector in organizing this year’s examination. He also highly appreciated Ton Duc Thang University’s thorough and professional preparation as the host institution. Besides, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the conference should serve as an opportunity for serious reflection and comprehensive evaluation in order to further enhance the quality of examination organization, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency in the coming years.
According to statistics from the MOET, the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination recorded 1,165,289 registered candidates, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to 2024. Across the country, 2,494 examination venues with a total of 49,849 examination rooms were arranged. The examination supervision and administration were carried out safely, seriously, and in accordance with the official plan, ensuring both practicality and effectiveness.

Presenting the summary report on the organization of the 2025 National High School Graduation Examination, Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director General of the Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency (MOET), stated: “The 2025 National High School Graduation Examination was conducted successfully, safely, and with strict discipline, accurately reflecting the quality of teaching and learning. For 2026, the unit will continue to promote the positive results achieved while drawing valuable lessons from this year’s experience to further enhance the quality of examination organization.”
The conference also highlighted several key lessons for preparing the 2026 examination, when all candidates will participate under the 2018 General Education Curriculum. These include strengthening coordination between local authorities and organizing units; innovating training programs with greater emphasis on practical application; upgrading the examination management software; and ensuring timely and transparent communication with students, parents, and teachers about examination procedures and requirements.

This year’s National High School Graduation Examination was conducted successfully and achieved commendable results, despite numerous challenges – particularly amid the rapid advancement and application of artificial intelligence.
Building on the valuable lessons learned from the 2025 examination, the education sector, in collaboration with relevant ministries and agencies, remains firmly committed to further enhancing both organizational methods and technological systems. The goal is to ensure that the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination and those in subsequent years are conducted with even greater safety, transparency, and efficiency.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong highly commended Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) for the thoughtful preparation and professional organization of the conference. With its modern facilities and proven capacity for hosting large-scale academic events, TDTU was entrusted by the MOET to serve as the venue for this year’s review conference.
