Signing a cooperation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Protection of Children’s Rights

On 27 December 2019, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), a signing ceremony between TDTU and the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Protection of Children’s Rights was held.

Attending the signing ceremony were Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Mai, Head of the Southern Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association for Protection of Children’s Rights, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Protection of Children’s Rights; Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice President of TDTU; together with the Heads of Ho Chi Minh City Association for Protection of Children’s Rights and lecturers of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

In particular, a number of media organizations came to work and report on the event, including Ho Chi Minh City Television, An Ninh Television, Vietnam News Agency, Education Newspaper, Social Labor Newspaper, Khan Quang Do magazine.

Under the agreement, the two sides will carry out cooperation programs in training, research, technology transfer as well as prioritizing the recruitment of graduates at TDTU.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities will coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh Association for Protection of Children’s Rights to implement the following modules: Personal social work practice, Community social work practice and Career apprenticeship for students of Social work sector and Sociology. An experienced team of experts and a wide network of members of the Association will be a good practice environment for students to apply their professional knowledge and skills in reality.

The cooperation between TDTU and the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Protection of Children’s Rights continues to affirm the philosophy and guideline of TDTU’s education that is “Theory and practice always go hand in hand”.
