Ton Duc Thang University Works with the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labour on Human Resource Development and Trade Union Digital Transformation
On June 22, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed a delegation from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labour (PFL) for a working session. The delegation was led by Mr. Luong Trong Thanh, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Member of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labour.
Representing TDTU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Chairman of the University Trade Union and Dean of the Faculty of Labour Relations and Trade Unions; together with leaders of several functional units of the University.
During the meeting, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labour discussed their demand for applying science, technology, and digital transformation solutions to trade union activities, particularly those supporting labour relations management and services for union members and employees. The delegation also expressed interest in learning about models and solutions for developing a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the socio-economic development needs of the province in the new period.
TDTU shared its experience and introduced a number of technological models and solutions for building an integrated ecosystem for labour relations management and support for union members and employees. These included systems for labour relations management, innovation and emulation management, creative labour initiatives, artificial intelligence (AI)-based legal consultation, as well as executive, monitoring, and decision-support systems for trade union leaders.
The two sides also exchanged views on collaboration models connecting trade unions, educational institutions, enterprises, and government agencies in training, upskilling, and workforce development. They discussed potential areas of cooperation aimed at developing high-quality human resources that meet the practical needs of Thanh Hoa Province.
Speaking at the meeting, TDTU leaders affirmed the University’s readiness to share expertise, provide consultation, and cooperate with local authorities, trade unions, and enterprises in education, research, technology transfer, and digital transformation activities. Leveraging its strengths in higher education, science and technology, and innovation, TDTU hopes to contribute to improving the effectiveness of trade union operations and developing a highly qualified workforce to support local socio-economic development.
The meeting was conducted in an open, constructive, and collaborative atmosphere, laying the foundation for future cooperation between TDTU and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labour.
