TDTU Expands International Learning Opportunities for Vietnamese Students Through Cooperation with the University of Waikato (New Zealand)

On the afternoon of May 22, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the launch ceremony for the 3+0 Bachelor’s Program in Business in partnership with the University of Waikato (New Zealand), continuing to expand its international cooperation ecosystem and diversify access to high-quality education for Vietnamese students.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of TDTU leadership, the University of Waikato, the New Zealand Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, corporate partners, lecturers, parents, and a large number of students interested in international education programs.

Through the 3+0 joint program, students will study full-time at TDTU following the study program, textbooks, and academic standards of the University of Waikato, and will receive a Bachelor of Business degree awarded by the University of Waikato upon graduation.

The implementation of this program further affirms TDTU’s role in connecting and cooperating with prestigious universities around the world, aiming to provide Vietnamese students with more international learning options right here in Vietnam. This model not only helps students access international-standard study programs but also optimizes costs compared to studying abroad full-time, while creating favorable conditions for students to develop integration capabilities and adapt to the global labor environment.

Currently, the program offers 3 majors including Finance, Digital Business, and Supply Chain Management - all of which are fields with high human resource demand in the context of digital transformation and international economic integration.

The program emphasizes practical application, integrating new trends such as fintech, blockchain, data analytics, digital transformation, and global logistics, contributing to equipping students with a foundation of modern knowledge, a global mindset, and professional skills to meet the requirements of international enterprises.

With the orientation of developing the university according to international standards, over the past many years, TDTU has continuously expanded its network of cooperation with prestigious universities, educational organizations, and enterprises worldwide to improve training quality, research, and learning experiences for students. The University of Waikato’s choice to partner in implementing the study program at TDTU continues to demonstrate the University’s prestige, capacity to organize education, and international educational environment in global educational cooperation activities.

The University of Waikato is one of New Zealand’s leading universities, prominent for its internationally recognized training and research quality. Waikato Business School belongs to the top 1% of business schools worldwide that simultaneously hold the triple crown accreditation of AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. According to the QS World University Rankings 2026, Waikato is rated as the best research university in New Zealand, and many of its training fields are among the top in the world.
