Football tournament for officials - staff 2019
On the afternoon of June 9th, 2019, the football tournament for officials - staff of different groups of universities and colleges under Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor (HCMC) officially took place at the Stadium of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). This activity is to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2019) and also an annual activity of Ho Chi Minh Federation of Labor.
This year's tournament had the participants from 06 universities in Ho Chi Minh City: University of Economics HCMC, University of Labor and Social Affairs, HCMC University of Law, HCMC Open University, University of Finance Marketing and Ton Duc Thang University. The tournament attracted the attention and encouragement of a large number of TDTU lecturers, staff and students.
Finally, TDTU Team won the championship scoring 7-1 victory against the team of University of Finance Marketing. Concurrently, Mr. Thach Sot Mai Ly, a TDTU player, was also awarded the title of a prolific goalscorer.
Not only does the tournament contribute to forming an enthusiastic and exciting atmosphere to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union Establishment Day, to building a mutual relationship and solidarity among the universities’ trade unions in the Commendation Division Number 2, but it also expresses the sport spirit with a good motto "Honesty - Solidarity - Healthy".
