Defense and Security Education Center – Ton Duc Thang University Organizes the National Defense and Security Education Collaboration Conference for the Academic Year 2025-2026

On June 27, 2025, the Defense and Security Education Center of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly organized the National Defense and Security Education Collaboration Conference for the academic year 2025–2026. The conference aimed to implement Decision No. 2861/QD/BQP dated August 24, 2021 of the Minister of National Defense on the adjustment and supplementation of the list of National Defense and Security Education collaboration institutions, and to foster collaboration among universities in the implementation of their shared tasks.

Attending the event were the following distinguished guests: from the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trong Thang – Militia and Self-Defense Division, Operations Office; from the People’s Police University, Senior Lieutenant colonel Dao Trung Tu – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Armed Police, and Senior Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Ngoc Tuan – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Armed Police; along with representatives from the Presidential Board and functional departments of the collaborating institutions.

From TDTU, the event welcomed Dr. Tran Trong Dao – the University President cum Director of the Center, along with representatives from the University’s Departments, Faculties, and Centers. From the Defense and Security Education Center – TDTU, attendees included MA. Ngo Quoc Thoi – Deputy Director, Head of the Division of Training and Student Affairs; MA. Le Hung – Director’s Assistant, Head of the Military Studies Department, and the attendance of the Center’s lecturers and staff.

At the Conference, the Executive Board of the Defense and Security Education Center – TDTU presented the teaching and learning results of students from partner institutions at the Center during the academic year 2024-2025. In addition, they announced the detailed teaching and learning plan, collaboration modalities, and fees for the National Defense and Security Education course. The participants also discussed issues related to student accommodation management, curriculum, and training activities for the upcoming academic year 2025–2026. Following the summary by the Executive Board, representatives of the partner institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the tasks of the new academic year.

As part of the Conference, participants visited a photo exhibition showcasing student activities during the academic year 2024-2025.

The Conference concluded successfully, laying an important foundation for the collaborative implementation of the National Defense and Security Education course at TDTU in the academic year 2025-2026.
