VNExpress: Ton Duc Thang University Honors High-Achieving Graduates
Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) is awarding degrees to more than 2,700 graduates this October, highlighting the academic achievements of outstanding individuals in a supportive educational environment that promotes international integration.
Beyond academic performance, the journeys of many graduates demonstrate the important role of scholarship policies, faculty support, and international joint programs in fostering their academic and professional development.

Nguyen Thi My Hoa, the top graduate in Accounting with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 9.04/10, is among the outstanding graduates. Despite living with a congenital physical disability affecting her mobility, Hoa achieved excellent academic results and received substantial support throughout her studies.
During her four years at the University, Hoa earned numerous certificates of academic excellence, the BKR Sheldon B. Webster Scholarship 2026, and the title of Outstanding Graduate. The total value of scholarships, tuition waivers, and financial assistance she received exceeded VND 255 million.
Following graduation, Hoa plans to pursue a master's degree at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), taking advantage of the University's full-tuition scholarship policy for top graduates in each major.
Reflecting on her academic journey, Hoa expressed appreciation for the University's modern learning environment and the dedicated support of her lecturers. She noted that their encouragement and the University's recognition of her abilities strengthened her confidence, enabling her to overcome barriers and continue pursuing her academic goals.

Connecting Education with Scientific Research
In addition to supporting students in developing their abilities, TDTU provides opportunities for further study and research through postgraduate programs and partnerships with international institutions. Ly Truong Giang, who graduated as the top student from the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics in 2024, is one such example.
After graduation, Giang received a full-tuition scholarship for a 1+1 joint master's program between TDTU and the University of L'Aquila (Italy), along with living expense support of up to EUR 5,000 during his studies in Italy. According to Giang, the scholarship reduced his financial burden, allowing him to focus on his studies, research, and academic experiences abroad.
Upon completing the program, Giang earned two master's degrees: a Master's in Applied Mathematics from TDTU with a score of 8.96/10 and a Master's in Mathematical Engineering from the University of L'Aquila with a score of 109/110. During his studies, he also published a research paper in a Q2-ranked international journal.
Giang shared that the academic environment and guidance from professors in Vietnam and abroad helped him develop independent research skills. He is currently working as a teaching assistant at TDTU's Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics while preparing to pursue doctoral studies.

Expanding Educational Opportunities for International Students
The October graduation ceremonies also recognize Nuth Sokrite, the only international master's graduate in this graduation cohort. Having previously completed his undergraduate studies at TDTU, Sokrite chose to return to the University for postgraduate education through its scholarship policy for international students.
In the Master's program in Civil Engineering, Sokrite completed his graduation project involving the application of OpenSees structural analysis software, earning a score of 8.5/10.
Reflecting on his experience, Sokrite praised the University's professional academic environment, dedicated lecturers, and laboratory facilities, which enabled him to strengthen his expertise. He added that the experience helped him develop a commitment to lifelong learning, greater professional confidence, and the motivation to continue improving himself.

The decision of international students to continue their education at TDTU reflects the University's commitment to integrating education with international cooperation. Through joint academic programs, students have opportunities to experience academic environments in different countries while gaining knowledge and experience that support their career and research aspirations.
Through its academic programs, student support policies, and international partnerships, TDTU seeks to integrate specialized knowledge with research capabilities, creating opportunities for graduates to continue their personal, academic, and professional development.
