On the evening of October 29 in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, solemnly held the Award Ceremony for the 2025 Golden Globe and Vietnam Female Student Awards in Science and Technology. These awards aim to honor outstanding young talents in the field of science and technology, while promoting the spirit of Resolution 57 and fostering innovation, creativity, and national pride in the intellectual potential of Vietnam’s young generation.
At the ceremony, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was honored to have one lecturer receive the Golden Globe Award and two students recognized at the 2025 Vietnam Female Student Awards in Science and Technology.

Dr. Le Quoc Viet, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), was honored with the 2025 Golden Globe Award for his research project titled “Development of Drug Delivery Systems from Biomaterials Applying Photothermal-Radiation Therapy and Immunotherapy in the Treatment of Cancer and Autoimmune Diseases.”
Dr. Viet’s research focuses on developing new-generation drug delivery systems using biomaterials such as polydopamine, peptides, and nucleic acids to enhance treatment effectiveness, minimize side effects, and open new directions in cancer therapy. He has published 33 international articles (including 27 Q1 and 6 Q2 articles) in leading journals such as Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, and Nature Communications. He is also the co-author of three national patents in South Korea, affirming his independent research capacity, creativity, and international influence as a young Vietnamese scientist. In addition, Dr. Viet has supervised many students who have received scientific research awards, making significant contributions to the training and research activities of the University.

In the 2025 Vietnam Female Student Awards in Science and Technology, Ha Ngoc Nhu Y, who graduated with Distinction in Chemical Engineering with a GPA of 8.96, was honored for her outstanding research achievements. She is the first author of a paper published in a Q2-ranked journal indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) and a co-author of two Q1-ranked papers. Nhu Y also earned the First Prize in the 2024-2025 University-level Student Scientific Research Competition and the Second Prize in the 2024 Post-harvest Processing Technology Competition, organized by the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development.
