The Executive Committee of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Term IV (2017-2019) on 02nd July, 2017 attended by 145 official delegates who represent more than 10,000 members working and studying at Ton Đuc Thang University.

Sharing with others is the best way to multiply happiness. That’s why lecturers and students of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) Faculty of Applied Sciences has organized the "Take Wing to School" program for students in Ben Tre Province on 17 and 18 June 2017 purposed to share love, lessen the difficulties and follow the children on the way to school.

From 03/06/2017, Ton Duc Thang University organized a training course for children in Ho Chi Minh City with the theme: Explore our world. All lessons were conducted in English and children had the chance to study three courses, including: English, physical education and a choice of painting, programming NAO robots, robot assembly or life sciences, depending on age.

On the morning of May 27, 2017, The Union of the Ton Duc Thang University organized the International Children’s Day on 1st June and the Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship ceremony in 2017 for the lecturers’ and officers’ children. Attendees of the ceremony included Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice president of TDTU; Nguyen Van Bac (MA), Deputy Secretary of Party Committee; as well as Nguyen Quoc Bao (MA), Vice president of the school’s trade union, various lecturers and almost 200 children.

On the morning of 20 May 1977, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a seminar on "SOLUTIONS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF TEACHING AND LEARNING THE SUBJECT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE AND SECURITY EDUCATION”. The seminar welcomed the presence of Mr. Nguyen Van Bac, Deputy Secretary of the TDTU Communist Party Committee; Colonel Vu Ba Thanh, Senior Executive of the Defense Department, Ministry of Education and Training; and representatives of more than 20 Centers of Defense Education and Security of universities and colleges located in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong provinces.

On May 19th 2017, the Party Committee at Ton Duc Thang University held a conference to review the work of the Party in 2016 and the preliminary implementation of Directive 05-CT / TW of the Politburo. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Le Van Tam, Vice Chairman of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Schools for Professional Education, Colleges, Universities Sector; Mr. Le Vinh Danh, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the University and all Party members of Ton Duc Thang University.
