In the afternoon of 16th May 2017, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed Mr. Dang Van Thanh, Chairman of TTC Group and the Board Former Chairman of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (Sacombank) visited and had a meeting with all lecturers as well as students of TDTU. This event is a part of the TDTU Public Speaking Program, which is periodically organized to give lecturers and students a chance to meet famous guests, intellectuals, and businessmen from inside and outside our country, in order to share experiences and issues that are public concern.

Mr. Dang Van Thanh shared basic principles in operating a business through his extensive experience in managing and operating large corporations and companies which operate in many different fields such as finance, real estate, education, etc. He emphasized the philosophy: “Operate by mind, lead by heart”. He also gave some advice about communication strategies and working attitudes for TDTU students such as confidence but not arrogance, passion about work but not about power, etc. Also, students should maintain these thoughts when studying and working in any organization, especially the habit of keeping school equipment clean during their time at TDTU. In particular, Mr. Dang Van Thanh shared his idea that he is always willing to give TDTU students chances to have internships in TTC Group’s departments so that students can acquire much more practical knowledge as well as developing the motivation to improve themselves in order to become excellent leaders in the future.
