Specifically, the two universities will collaborate to implement joint research programs leveraging their shared strengths in Engineering, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). They will also develop and implement a 2+2 undergraduate articulation program in Computer Science, allowing students to study two years at TDTU and two years at the University of Wollongong to earn an international degree. Additionally, both parties agreed to cooperate in doctoral training following a “sandwich” model, where PhD candidates alternate between studying and working at both institutions, thereby enhancing research capacity and international integration for young lecturers and researchers.
