Incense Offering Ceremony Commemorating the 137th Birthday of President Ton Duc Thang

On the morning of August 20, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 137th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2025). This occasion was an opportunity for all lecturers, staff, and students of TDTU to honor and pay tribute to the staunch revolutionary fighter of the international communist and workers’ movements, and an exemplary leader who served his country and people all his life.

Attending the ceremony were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU, leaders of the University’s units, lecturers, staff, and more than 200 students representing the University’s students.

In a solemn atmosphere, TDTU’s lecturers and students together reviewed the life and glorious revolutionary career of President Ton Duc Thang, who dedicated himself to national liberation and nation-building. He also left behind a shining example of integrity, morality, simplicity, and compassion—values that remain deeply influential and continue to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for generations today and in the future.

During the ceremony, the University’s leaders, lecturers, and students offered incense in deep reverence and gratitude to President Ton Duc Thang. Each incense stick represented a solemn pledge to carry forward his spirit of service to the nation and the people, while striving for excellence in learning, training, and creativity to contribute to the sustainable development of Ton Duc Thang University—worthy of the University named after Uncle Ton.
