Financial support programs for students of Ton Duc Thang University

On the basis of the difficulties caused by negative impacts of COVID-19 pandemic and the existing financial balance, Ton Duc Thang University has implemented many support programs in order to help students overcome these difficulties.

Tuition reduction: The University reduces the tuition fee of the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022 by 5% for all students (undergraduate, graduate and PhD students). This policy is for students of all programs: standard, high-quality, Undergraduate Program taught in English and International campus rotation program; 4+1 program students, graduate students, PhD students and college students who have successfully registered for the course and participated in the study in the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022.

Financial support for disadvantaged students: The University also implements financial support programs for students with special difficulties due to the impacts of the pandemic in the form of scholarships. This support program is for: students who are disadvantaged COVID-19 patients (F0); students whose parents have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, whose families have no income or income reduction; other particularly difficult circumstances, etc.

Extending the time for tuition fees payment: In addition to reducing tuition fees and providing financial support for disadvantaged students, the University will also extend the time for paying tuition fees to facilitate students in tuition fees preparation. Accordingly, students can postpone paying the tuition fee of the third semester of the academic year 2020-2021 until November 26, 2021, the time to pay the tuition fees of the first semester of the school year 2021-2022. Within this period, students who still have difficulties and cannot fulfill their tuition obligations can apply for an extension according to the instructions.

Supports for boarding students: The University will reduce 1 month of dormitory fees for students who have paid boarding fees of the third semester of the academic year 2020-2021. The reduced amount will be deducted from the dormitory fee in the next semester or refunded directly to students. In addition, students who are staying in the dormitory in the third semester of the academic year 2020-2021 can stay in the dormitory for free for another half month from the date of admission according to the University's announcement.

The University spends a total budget of 30 billion VND to support students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, the University will have more annual scholarship programs according to the University's current regulations for students.

In the spirit of accompanying students to overcome difficulties, the University always takes advantage of all possible resources to support students so as to help them reduce the impact on their studies due to tuition-related issues.
