The Department of International Business works with Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation

On September 25, 2019, the Department of International Business under the Faculty of Business Administration had a meeting with the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) led by Dr. Albert Tan, Patron Professor of MISI. On behalf of the Department, there were Dr. Pham Thi Ngan, Group leader; MSc. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, Lecturer of International Business Course. Ms. Huynh Nhu Nguyet, Director of the Vietnam Logistics and Aviation School, also attended the meeting.

MISI is a postgraduate training institute on the study of supply chains, established as a cooperation between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Government of Malaysia in 2011. MISI is a member of MIT Global SCALE Network, a national coalition of research and education centers in the field of development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chains and logistics.

At the meeting, the Department and MISI exchanged views on expanding a network of experts in logistics and supply chain to exchange expertise and research cooperation. In addition, the three parties (Department, MISI and VILAS) also discussed the development of short-term exchange programs between Ton Duc Thang University and universities in Malaysia, Singapore and China.
