Social Development Training Center of Ton Duc Thang University cooperates with Oxfam Vietnam

On the morning of June 9th, 2020, the representatives of Oxfam, Vietnam visited and worked with the Social Development Training Center of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The meeting was attended by Dr. Tang Huu Tan, the Director of Social Development Training Center (SDTC); Ms. Le Thuy Hanh, the Project Manager of Labor Rights; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, the Project Officer of Oxfam Research and Consultancy Center for Social Work and Community Development.

TDTU and Oxfam exchanged information on the cooperation projects in research programs and projects related to the labour force. In particular, the latter introduced the project named "Decent work and social security". There is a strong possibility that this project will embark soon with SDTC to achieve the goal of improving and implementing labour support policies.

Oxfam is an international confederation including 20 organizations from more than 90 countries. Its goal is to maximize the strength and the voice of society to fight against poverty and inequality. Oxfam had its first operation in Vietnam in 1955. Since then, the organization has continued to support Vietnam in humanitarian activities, poverty reduction, addressing inequality, and improving the lives of women and the disadvantaged.

Oxfam has a strong network of cooperation with governments and many organizations, businesses, communities, and media agencies worldwide.
