Opening the Course for Fostering Knowledge of National Defense and Security for Unit Leaders

The morning of March 13, 2019, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Council of National Defense and Security Education (QP-AN) of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) cooperating with Military Academy of HCMC and TDTU organized the opening ceremony of the Course for Fostering Knowledge of National Defense and Security for 45 officers who are leaders (Object 3) under TDTU. Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Tien, Member of the Council of National Defense and Security Education, Political Commissar of Military School of HCMC; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Huy, training assistant of Military School of HCMC. From TDTU, there were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President and Commander of TDTU Military Command; Colonel Nguyen Tien Loc, Director of National Defense and Security Education Center and all students of Object 3 Class.

According to the schedule, the course is conducted over a period of 12 days. The students will be equipped with basic knowledge of national defense and security and will particularly learn weapon techniques and practice training on K54 shooting. The leading representative Military Academy of HCMC and TDTU have provided instructions for students to successfully complete the course, to improve personal competence and awareness of work on National Defense and Security, to train political courage and firm ideology, and to successfully accomplish assigned tasks and duties.
