Tuoi Tre Newspaper: Ton Duc Thang University Supports the Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament
Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) continues to collaborate with the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament 2026 by hosting both the Southern Regional Qualifiers and the National Finals.

To contribute to the tournament's success, TDTU has made thorough preparations in terms of facilities and human resources, providing comprehensive support throughout the event.
FIFA-standard stadium and professional operations
The centerpiece of the competition venue is TDTU Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 7,500 and is certified as a FIFA 2-Star football stadium. Equipped with a 1,200-lux floodlighting system that meets live broadcasting requirements and a high-quality pitch maintained through regular upkeep, the stadium offers players an excellent competition environment.
Mr. Nguyen The Nghia, Head of TDTU's Indoor Arena and Stadium Division, said: "The TDTU stadium undergoes regular maintenance following strict procedures to ensure the playing surface remains in optimal condition."

This explains why coaches and players from participating teams highly praised the University's competition facilities during their familiarization training sessions.
In addition to the main stadium, the University has also prepared supporting facilities, including a press conference room, changing rooms, media working areas, parking spaces, and rest areas for referees and athletes. This well-integrated infrastructure has enabled the Organizing Committee to optimize resources and efficiently manage the tournament.
Alongside the facilities, technical operations and security have been given top priority. TDTU's technical team remains on duty before, during, and after every match to operate and inspect the electrical, water, sound, lighting, and internet systems.
The University's security personnel also work closely with the Organizing Committee to manage traffic, control entry and exit points, and promptly respond to any incidents, ensuring a safe competition environment for participating teams and spectators.
Student volunteers and the dedicated support team
Beyond its infrastructure, TDTU's people have played a vital role in creating a vibrant, professional, and welcoming atmosphere throughout the tournament. Approximately 6,000 TDTU students have participated in the opening and closing ceremonies from the regional qualifiers through to the national finals.

In addition to serving as enthusiastic supporters in the stands, students have actively assisted with reception services, audience guidance, crowd coordination, and media support, demonstrating the dynamism and sense of responsibility of TDTU students.
To maintain a clean and pleasant competition environment, the University's maintenance staff have continuously collected waste in the spectator stands, corridors, and public areas before, during, and after each match.
The stadium's restroom facilities have also been cleaned continuously to serve thousands of visitors, while strategically placed waste bins throughout high-traffic areas have encouraged spectators to maintain cleanliness and environmental awareness.
TDTU's comprehensive support for the Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament 2026 reflects the University's commitment to partnering with the Organizing Committee in providing a healthy sporting environment for workers and employees.
The tournament also highlights the important role of higher education institutions in supporting community engagement and promoting grassroots sports development in Vietnam.

In 2026, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, in collaboration with Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), continues to organize the Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament.
Entering its fourth season, the tournament brings together 48 teams from across the country, further affirming its position as a prestigious annual sporting event for workers, public employees, and laborers nationwide.
The tournament contributes to promoting physical fitness while enhancing the cultural and spiritual well-being of workers and the wider community.
The total prize fund amounts to VND 900 million, with the national champion receiving VND 200 million.
Notably, this marks the fourth consecutive year that the tournament has been supported by its Diamond Sponsor, THACO Group.
The continued support of THACO, together with partners including Revive Sports Drink, Dong Luc Sports Group, Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVcab), FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play), and many other businesses, has helped further promote the tournament's humanitarian values, spirit of solidarity, and community significance.
The Northern Regional Qualifiers were held in May 2026, while the Southern Regional Qualifiers took place from June 7 to 10, 2026. The tournament will conclude with the National Finals, scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from July 16 to 19, 2026.
