TDTU Students Shine with 10 Major Awards at the TCL Design Contest 2026

Students of the Interior Design program, Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), achieved outstanding success at the TCL Design Contest 2026, with 08 students advancing to the national Top 20 and winning a total of 10 awards across various categories. This remarkable achievement highlights TDTU students’ professional competence, creative thinking, and ability to apply technology in the field of interior design.

The TCL Design Contest 2026, jointly organized by TCL Vietnam and the VMARK Design Award, aims to discover innovative concepts for living spaces that integrate smart technologies and modern device ecosystems. The competition serves as both an academic and professional platform for students, architects, and young designers across Vietnam, encouraging the development of user-centered design solutions that respond to the evolving needs of smart cities.

Competing against participants from higher education institutions across the country, TDTU’s Interior Design students stood out with projects distinguished by creative concepts, in-depth research, and strong practical applicability.

According to the Organizing Committee, TDTU students won two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes, two Consolation Prizes, and three Popular Choice Awards, with a total prize value of nearly VND 245 million.

The award-winning students are:

  • Nguyen Thi My HanhSecond Prize for the project Nhà Là… (Home Is…);
  • Nguyen Thi Kim NganThird Prize for the project Ha-moon House;
  • Le Huynh Thanh TamThird Prize for the project The Moorish Apartment;
  • Nguyen Tan LocThird Prize and Popular Choice Award for the project Duplex Rượu Vang (Wine Duplex);
  • Che Thi Diem MyConsolation Prize and Popular Choice Award for the project Gilded Earth;
  • Duong Thanh VuConsolation Prize and Popular Choice Award for the project Noir Horizon.

In addition to receiving these awards, the winning projects will be showcased and honored at DESIGNITY 2026 and featured in the Design Yearbook 2026. This provides students with a valuable opportunity to present their design ideas to the professional community, industry partners, and design organizations in Vietnam and around the world.

The outstanding performance at the TCL Design Contest 2026 further demonstrates the quality of education provided by TDTU’s Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts in fostering contemporary design thinking, research capabilities, and practical problem-solving skills. It also reinforces Ton Duc Thang University’s position as a leading institution for education in design, architecture, and the creative industries.
