University Admission Counseling Day 2026 at Ton Duc Thang University – TDTU OPEN DAY 2026
On March 28, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted the 2026 Admission Counseling Day (TDTU Open Day 2026), attracting the participation of more than 3,200 high school students from Ho Chi Minh City and various southern provinces.
Attending the event, representing the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, was Mr. Doan Truong Quang, Member of the Executive Committee and Head of the Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization. Representing provincial and municipal Departments of Education and Training, the event welcomed Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Acting Director of the Can Tho Department of Education and Training. From high schools, Principals, Vice Principals, and teachers from 116 high schools across Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, and Can Tho were also in attendance.
Representing Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Secretary of the Party Committee and President; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice President; Ms. Dang Thi Kim Anh, M.A., Head of the Department of Student Affairs and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Open Day; along with leaders of Units, lecturers, and staff of the University.
In his opening remarks at the Open Day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President of Ton Duc Thang University, shared: “Dear students, 2026 marks a very special milestone for you - a year of choices, pressures, but also opportunities. In a constantly changing world, what matters is not choosing a ‘safe’ major, but selecting a path that aligns with your abilities, passions, and adaptability. Be bold in your dreams, proactive in exploring, willing to take on challenges, and persistent in pursuing your goals. A right choice today can open up a vast future tomorrow. TDTU Open Day is an annual activity of TDTU, aiming to serve as a bridge between the University and high schools, as well as between lecturers and students and their parents. The event provides an opportunity for students, especially 12th-grade students who are standing at a pivotal point in their lives, to gain comprehensive information, clear orientation, and confidence in choosing their future pathways.
At the Open Day, students had the opportunity to explore TDTU’s internationally standardized educational environment and modern facilities; participated in hands-on activities that simulate the experience of being a university student; and engaged in direct interactions and consultations with lecturers and current TDTU students on academic programs, fields of study and the learning environment. They were also provided with detailed guidance on study programs, talent training programs, admission methods, and other relevant information, including tuition fees, scholarships, aptitude tests, etc.

Interactive and hands-on experiential activities were also among the highlights of the Open Day, enabling students to explore TDTU’s modern, dynamic, and internationally standardized learning environment and facilities. Notable activities included a mock trial (Faculty of Law), multicultural exchange through the “Vocabulary Arena” (Faculty of Foreign Languages), and a 3D Golf experience (Faculty of Sport Science), among others.
Engaging and interactive activities at the Open Day
As part of the Open Day, students also participated in the program “Lucky Draw with TDTU Open Day 2026”. Tran Huu Hoang, a student of Ly Thuong Kiet High School (Tan Thoi Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), won the First Prize (Apple iPad Gen 10). The Second Prize (AirPods 4) was awarded to Truong Thanh Thuy (Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and Truong Quoc Tuan, a student of Xuan Phu High School (Phu Hoa Dong Commune, Ho Chi Minh City). In addition, the program presented five Third Prizes (TDTU backpacks) and ten Consolation Prizes (limited-edition TDTU teddy bears) to participating students.
Ngày hội đã diễn ra thành công tốt đẹp và mở ra cơ hội tiếp tục tăng cường sự kết nối, hợp tác khăng khít, hiệu quả giữa TDTU với các trường THPT trên địa bàn Thành phố và các tỉnh phía Nam, qua đó, TDTU tiếp tục thực hiện sứ mệnh và trách nhiệm xã hội của một cơ sở giáo dục đại học công lập thông qua các hoạt động tư vấn, hướng nghiệp, tư vấn tuyển sinh cho học sinh các trường THPT cũng như các hoạt động hợp tác, hỗ trợ phát triển giáo dục với các địa phương, tỉnh thành.
The Open Day concluded with great success, paving the way for further strengthening the close and effective connection and cooperation between TDTU and high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces. Through this event, TDTU continues to fulfill its mission and social responsibility as a public higher education institution by organizing career guidance and admission counseling activities for high school students, as well as promoting cooperation and providing support for educational development in various localities and provinces.
