Highlights of the Working Session

The purpose of this visit and working session was to implement Plan No. 01/KH-UBND-TDTU dated July 17, 2023, between the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee and Ton Duc Thang University, regarding the cooperation program between the Province and the University for the period 2023-2027.

During the working session, leaders from both organizations exchanged insights on training, research, and innovation, and explored potential areas for future collaboration. They highlighted four key fields: renewable energy; high-tech agriculture, forestry, and fisheries (with a particular focus on medicinal plants); tourism and the marine economy; and innovation and digital transformation. These sectors were identified as having significant potential for sustainable development in Quang Ngai Province and aligning closely with Ton Duc Thang University’s strategic priorities.

In addition to the proposed recommendations, both organizations recognized many other potential opportunities for cooperation, such as: TDTU partnering with the Quang Ngai Provincial Center for Digital Transformation and Innovation to register patents for promising research outcomes, implementing a Program to Enhance Knowledge on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for officials, civil servants, and employees; organizing events, competitions, workshops, and scientific-technology innovation forums; creating an academic playground to encourage creativity, while connecting scientists, students, enterprises, and regulatory agencies. The goal is to build a dynamic scientific and technological ecosystem in the locality, improve the practical application of research results, and expand opportunities for long-term collaboration.
