On the afternoon of May 13 1974, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a Closing Ceremony and presented awards for the Student Games (TDT GAMES 2017) which involved a month of exciting competitions with nearly 1,000 athletes; TDTU students and international students. There were 12 sports: soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, tug, badminton, track and field, swimming, taekwondo, martial arts and dance.

In the conditions of a modern competition, due to the facilities within the campus, the relaxed players show off their talents, offering dramatic and attractive matches received with great enthusiasm by thousands of fans. Final results: Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering won the first prize of the whole group, second prize belongs to Accounting Faculty and third prize belongs to Faculty of Applied Sciences. Nguyen Thi Mong Quynh, International Taekwondo Competition champion, is currently attending the School of Sports Management. TDTU is proud to say: "As an athlete and a member of TDT GAMES, I am not only satisfied in my passion for martial arts but also in my ability to learn how to write tournament plans, play out scenarios, prepare and use the most effective facilities, and in the support from the school so that we have a successful season of TDT GAMES ".
