Ton Duc Thang University Signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Department of Education and Training and High Schools in Binh Dinh Province

On January 12, 2024, the delegation of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) had a working session with the Department of Education and Training of Binh Dinh province to discuss, finalize, and sign a cooperation agreement between TDTU and high schools in Binh Dinh province.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dao Duc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Dinh province, and Dr.Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of TDTU. It was attended by principals and vice principals from high schools in Binh Dinh province, as well as leaders of some units of TDTU.

The agreement between TDTU and high schools in Binh Dinh province aims to continue the implementation of cooperation in education and training, human resource training, scientific research, technology transfer, career counselling for high school students, scholarships, and organizing visits for students in the province, particularly those from remote high schools, to explore the higher education environment at TDTU.

Following the signed cooperation agreement, TDTU annually cooperates with high schools in Binh Dinh province to carry out priority admission based on the 5-semester results of students whose schools signed the cooperation agreement. Over the past 5 years, with enthusiastic support and cooperation from teachers of the Department of Education and Training and high schools in the province, as of January 10, 2024, 1.099 students from Binh Dinh province studying at TDTU have graduated with the employment rate within 1 year of graduation, reaching 99.6%, highly appreciated by enterprises for their solid professional skills and a good sense of discipline. From 2018, TDTU has allocated over 2.7 billion VND to support students from the province through various forms of scholarships such as scholarships for valedictorian students from these high schools,  academic incentive scholarships, scholarships for students with difficult circumstances and scholarships to support during the Covid-19 pandemic.

With a commitment to sustainable development and fulfilment of community responsibilities, TDTU consistently cooperates with localities and high schools. Over the past period, the cooperative relationships between the University and regions such as Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, An Giang, and Dong Thap have yielded substantial results, particularly in high-quality human resource training for the respective localities.
