Ton Duc Thang University and Tuoi Tre Newspaper Sign a Cooperation Agreement
On July 17, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper organized a signing ceremony for a Cooperation Agreement to build and develop relationships across various fields.
The delegation from Tuoi Tre Newspaper, led by journalist Le The Chu – Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, along with Deputy Editor-in-Chief Le Xuan Trung, leaders from various departments, and reporters, visited and had a working session with TDTU to sign the Cooperation Agreement.
On behalf of TDTU were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President, along with the members of the Presidential Board, leaders from Faculties, Departments, and Centers under TDTU, welcomed, worked with, and attended the signing ceremony.
The delegation from Tuoi Tre Newspaper visited several key facilities of TDTU, such as Inspire Library, the sports complex, and the dormitories. Speaking at the working session, journalist Le The Chu highly appreciated the achievements and milestones that the University has reached, despite being a young institution with a relatively short development and construction period. He also expressed admiration for the leadership vision, dedication, and commitment of the University’s staff in the national education and training mission.
The leadership of Tuoi Tre Newspaper highly praised the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) and the interconnected education model from secondary school to university at TDTU. They also suggested that the promotion of VFIS could be enhanced through the “Discover the School” program, which the newspaper is successfully implementing.
Speaking at the session, Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU, emphasized that in the era of digital transformation, both students and lecturers need to enhance their communication skills, particularly in digital media, which is growing rapidly. As part of this cooperation, TDTU hopes that not only students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities but also students from other faculties will have the opportunity to visit Tuoi Tre Newspaper for learning, practice, and internships.
“The University values this cooperation and hopes that with its capabilities and strengths, it will collaborate as quickly and effectively as possible, contributing to the educational mission of both TDTU and Tuoi Tre Newspaper”, Dr. Tran Trong Dao said.
Tuoi Tre Newspaper has a 50-year history of dedication, closely accompanying the youth, inspiring them, and actively supporting education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Therefore, the Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper stated: “This cooperation not only connects two major organizations but also creates a synergy towards common values of intellect, innovation, sustainable development, and community service” , Journalist Le The Chu emphasized that the signing of this Cooperation Agreement marks the beginning of deeper, more professional activities, creating greater value in the future.
According to the Cooperation Agreement, TDTU and Tuoi Tre Newspaper have agreed to implement key collaborative activities in the areas of education and training, communication and admission, event organization, and human resource development.
Specifically, Tuoi Tre Newspaper commits to collaborating with TDTU to promote communication on admission and career guidance programs through the Newspaper’s publications, digital platforms, and events. They will prioritize accepting TDTU students for internships, observations, and career visits to the newsroom each semester. Additionally, they will work together to organize seminars, talk shows, short-term training courses on communication, health, sports, school culture, career skills education, and job introductions for students.
TDTU will invite staff and journalists from Tuoi Tre Newspaper to participate in teaching certain courses as industry experts. They will also facilitate students in practical training for the career practicum course at the newspaper, collaborate on organizing scientific seminars and community events that align with the strengths of both parties, and support training and enhancing communication skills for TDTU’s staff, lecturers, and students.
Both parties also agreed to continue expanding the scope of cooperation through specific projects and programs, developed and implemented in phases, to maximize their professional strengths and contribute to spreading positive educational and communication values to the community.
This is a significant milestone and a highlight in TDTU’s communication activities, promising to open up valuable opportunities for learning and practical career experiences for students, contributing to enhancing the quality of education and fostering deeper connections with the community. Prior to this, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and TDTU have collaborated through many admission seasons with University Admission Consultation Days and the selection of university preferences. At the end of September 2024, the 2nd Vietnam Workers’ and State Employees’ Football Tournament, organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, also took place successfully with exciting matches at the TDTU stadium.
