According to the agreement, the two parties will collaborate in several key areas, including: training and professional development for trade union officials; improving professional qualifications, vocational skills, and digital competencies for workers; as well as scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer to support practical trade union activities and business development.

In the field of education and training, TDTU will work with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to implement undergraduate, postgraduate, and short-term training programs for trade union officials, union members, and workers.
The University will also establish scholarship policies to support trade union officials and their children within the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation system.
In addition, under the cooperation program, both parties will promote research and the application of science and technology to improve labor productivity and support enterprises in adapting to digital transformation and sustainable development requirements.
Scientific seminars, technology consulting, business support, and intellectual property-related activities will also be implemented in the coming period.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Trong Dao stated that the cooperation opens up a new partnership model between higher education institutions and trade union organizations to promote training, technology transfer, innovation, and the enhancement of human resource quality for union members and workers in the city.
This is considered one of the pioneering comprehensive cooperation programs between a university and a city-level trade union organization in Vietnam, contributing to stronger connections among universities, trade unions, and businesses in the context of digital transformation and international integration.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Trong Dao emphasized that several contents in the memorandum can be implemented immediately.
However, he also expressed his hope that the two parties would continue to strengthen their cooperation in the future to further implement related activities. Ton Duc Thang University is always ready to accompany and cooperate with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to ensure the highest practical effectiveness of the collaboration.
On behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan stated that through this cooperation program, workers will have more opportunities to access training programs, update new skills, and improve professional competencies aligned with the requirements of the digital economy.
At the same time, the program also contributes to enhancing the role of higher education institutions in serving the community and accompanying the sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City and the country.
