Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University for the second time

In the afternoon of October 17th, 2019, Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (AVU&C) and leaders of 20 member universities visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The delegation was led by Mr. Pham Ngoc Lan, Deputy Head of the association organization and development board.

The delegation was guided to visit some typical places of TDTU such as: Inspire Library, the Multi-purpose stadium, the Dormitory and Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS).

After the field trip, the Delegation had a meeting with TDTU's leaders on the model as well as university autonomy experiences. Ms. Trinh Minh Huyen, the Trade Union President told the Delegation about TDTU's autonomy story: from the start from scratch, to objectives with drastic policy for today achievement; It is full of hardships and challenges that cannot be overcome without effort and spirit of service.

Prof. Le Vinh Danh, TDTU President shared experiences and hints for TDTU's success; and said he is willing to share these experiences with Vietnamese universities, with the ultimate goal for developing a sustainable higher education system.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Lan said that AVU&C has and will continue to support TDTU in all aspects; This fact has proved that this is the preeminent model, a right direction for all Vietnamese universities.

University leaders participating in the meeting expressed their admiration for TDTU's achievements and said that the exchange created more inspiration and motivation for the universities to accelerate autonomy.
