On November 23rd, 2020 at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Faculty of Pharmacy held a Gala celebrating 5 years of establishment and development. Attending the celebration were faculty leaders, lecturers, staff members, students, alumni and representatives of some partner enterprises.
Speaking at this important event, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, former Dean of faculty, recalled the 5-year journey with the achievements of the faculty.
The faculty is one of the newly-inaugurated faculties in the campus. Despite that within 5 years, the science-technology activities of the faculty quickly took shape and attained significant results. It organized two major international scientific conferences, namely: Asia Pharm I (from 11th to 12th of July, 2016 at TDTU) and Asia Pharm II (from 20th to 23rd of June, 2017 at Seoul National University, Korea). These two events, organized by the faculty alongside Seoul National University, attracted the participation of many scientists around the world and created a high reputation in the international pharmaceutical community.
On top of that, the faculty has built relationships with influential partners such as Seoul National University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and 15 other domestic and foreign enterprises.
During the period from 2015 to 2017, the faculty had 6 international publications released in journals on the list of ISI / Scopus; built a system of laboratories for students to practice with modern equipment, including extraction, isolation, and UV, IR, HPLC-PDA-MS, HPLC modulation systems for learning and research.
Looking back, the accomplishments that the faculty has obtained were not only the proof of the research and educational capability of the faculty but as well as the motivation for each student in inheriting the values of previous generations.
On this occasion, the faculty also honored and rewarded students with outstanding performance in learning, practicing with plentiful contributions to extracurricular activities.
