2,000 students of Ton Duc Thang University participate in voluntary blood donation

On the morning of October 28, 2020, many union members - students of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) gathered at the lobby of building C to participate in the Voluntary Blood Donation Festival. This is an annual volunteer activity conducted by the Youth Union in collaboration with the District 7 Red Cross Society.

With the spirit of "one drop of blood - a million hearts", TDTU students have shown the spirit of kindness and willingness to dedicate themselves to the community, as the content of a moral lesson that all TDTU students have imbued is: Do not become selfish and take care of others more.

Along with the students, many TDTU lecturers and staff were also present, actively participating in blood donation. Only in the morning, nearly 1,000 units of blood were donated. These benevolent drops of blood will contribute to saving the lives of patients with serious blood diseases that need blood transfusion. Thus, the hearts of TDTU students, lecturers, and staff spread everywhere.

While the Covid-19 pandemic was still dangerous, all stages of the blood donation process were carried out quickly, safely, and met the sanitary requirements for epidemic prevention.

On October 29, 2020, the blood donation program will continue with more than 1,000 students and lecturers registered to participate. The expected amount of blood received in the whole program (2 days) is about 2,000 units.
