The final round of Vietnam University Games 2019 (VUG 2019) for Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) officially took place on April 21, 2019. The student football team of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) won the Championship after winning the student team of Van Hien University with the result 4 - 1.
VUG is held every year with two contents: Indoor Football (Futsal) and Dance Battle. This year, there were more than 1,680 athletes from 85 national universities, colleges and institutes with 240 matches. Being considered one of the candidates for this year's championship, the victory of TDTU Team is not unexpected; but the surprise came from the overwhelming result 4 – 1 for the champion of VUG 2018!
On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May, the VUG final round 2019 for the nation will take place with the participation of 8 best representatives: The Futsal Champions of Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang, Can Tho; and The 2 best teams of Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
