In September 2021, THE World University Rankings ranked TDTU in the Top 500 best universities globally for THE's 2022 ranking period. This is the first time TDTU has appeared in the list. 

In October 2022, TDTU continued to rank 401-500 in THE's 2023 ranking period.

In October 2023, TDTU ranked 601-800 in THE's 2024 ranking period.

THE is one of the 3 most influential university ranking organizations in the world alongside QS and ARWU. With this result, the position of TDTU on the world education map has been clearly established. This is also the development goal of TDTU in the period 2017-2037.
