Implementation Results in 2024 of Policies on Allowances, Tuition Fee Exemptions/Reductions, and Scholarships for Learners

Ton Duc Thang University issued Decision No. 316/QĐ-TĐT dated January 30, 2024 on the promulgation of the Regulation on the consideration and granting of scholarships, commendations, and support for learners; community-support scholarships and other types of support, and Guideline No. 3637/HD-TĐT dated October 25, 2024 on scholarships, commendations, and support for learners; community-support scholarships and other types of support.

The University granted tuition fee exemptions and reductions for the academic year 2024-2025 to 295 student cases subject to the provisions of Decree No. 81/2021/NĐ-CP dated August 27, 2021, issued by the Government, which regulates the mechanism for tuition collection and management at institutions within the national education system and policies on tuition exemption, reduction, learning cost support, and  education service prices; and Decree No. 97/2023/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2023, issued by the Government, amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 81/2021/NĐ-CP, with a total amount of 1,957,170,000 VND.

The University provided learning cost support for the academic year 2024-2025 to 30 student cases subject to the provisions of Decision No. 66/2013/QĐ-TTg dated November 11, 2013, issued by the Prime Minister, which stipulates policies on learning cost support for ethnic minority students studying at higher education institutions, with a total amount of 210,600,000 VND.

From June 2024 to May 2025, the University provided support covering the difference between the University’s tuition fee and the state-supported tuition or learning cost support for students under policy beneficiary groups and poor households in accordance with regulations, to 343 student cases, with a total amount of 1,137,796,460 VND.

At the same time, from June 2024 to May 2025, the University granted scholarships, commendations, and other forms of support tailored to specific student groups, while also seeking external scholarship sources to accompany and support students in their learning and training at the University, with a total amount of over 32 billion VND.
