Ton Duc Thang University Hosts a Working Session with Shanghai University of Engineering Science
On April 13, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted a working session with a delegation from Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) to discuss directions for cooperation in training, research, and academic exchange.
The SUES delegation was led by Prof. Li Jiang - Secretary of the Party Committee. On the side of TDTU, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President of the University, together with leaders of relevant units, attended the working session.
At the meeting, representatives of both institutions discussed the possibility of implementing cooperation in student and lecturer exchange; at the same time, promoting cooperation in training and research in SUES’s key fields such as mechanical engineering, automation, semiconductors, theoretical mathematics, and statistics.
The two institutions also discussed a number of specific cooperative activities such as sending lecturers and experts to participate in teaching and research, jointly organizing seminars and scientific conferences, co-supervising students, as well as developing short-term programs and academic exchange activities for students of both universities.
SUES is one of the typical application-oriented universities in Shanghai, with a training orientation closely linked to the practical needs of industry. The University currently holds more than 1.200 patents and has outstanding strengths in application-oriented training, practice, enterprise cooperation, applied research, and technology transfer.
This visit and working session mark an important step in strengthening cooperation between TDTU and SUES, contributing to the advancement of training, research and academic exchange activities between the two institutions in the time ahead.
