Vibrant Cultural Colors at the International Student Exchange Fair at Ton Duc Thang University
On January 24, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted an international cultural exchange fair to celebrate the Lunar New Year for international students. The event attracted a large number of international students from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and other countries who are currently studying at TDTU, offering them an opportunity to participate in and experience the festive atmosphere.
The fair featured a wide range of rich and diverse activities, including booths showcasing souvenirs imbued with the distinctive cultural identities of various countries; traditional folk game competitions; and hands-on experiences such as Vietnamese coffee brewing and making Banh Chung and Banh Tet.
On this occasion, TDTU also presented meaningful Tet gifts to international students, reflecting the University’s care, sharing, and companionship with international students currently studying at the University.
The fair is a meaningful event, creating conditions for international students studying at the University to interact with and learn about Vietnam’s culture and traditions. This is especially significant in the joyful atmosphere as everyone prepares for the upcoming 2026 Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse). The event also provided an occasion for the international student community at TDTU to meet, exchange, and make friends, thereby fostering solidarity and friendly relations between nations.
The International Student Cultural Exchange Fair is one of TDTU’s regular activities that receives strong attention and investment from the University. Alongside this event, TDTU regularly organizes a wide range of cultural, artistic, sports, sightseeing, and experiential activities for international students, including cultural exchange programs celebrating Vietnam’s Lunar New Year, the traditional Bun Pi May New Year of Laos, and Chol Chnam Thmay of the Khmer people, as well as collective activities, sports competitions, and cultural and artistic exchanges with Vietnamese students and short-term international exchange students throughout the academic year. These activities reflect TDTU’s strong commitment and continuous efforts in its university internationalization journey, contributing to the promotion of the University’s image as a friendly, prestigious, and reliable academic destination for international students and partners.
Currently, TDTU is one of the Vietnamese higher education institutions attracting the most foreign students, with nearly 1,000 full-time undergraduate and graduate students and over 11,000 international students from 30 countries visiting for short-term exchanges and cultural interactions.
