Ton Duc Thang University Welcomes and Holds a Working Session with the Delegation from the Colombian Embassy

On April 29, 2025, the Colombian Ambassador to Vietnam, Ms. Camila Polo Flórez, visited Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) to promote educational and research cooperation between TDTU and leading universities in Colombia. Attending the working session on behalf of TDTU was Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of the University.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed promoting and connecting strategic cooperation activities between TDTU and Colombian universities. They both emphasized the potential to attract Colombian students to study at TDTU through a scholarship program specifically for Colombian students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Highly appreciating the quality and international stature of the University, Ambassador Camila Polo Flórez expressed her desire to connect TDTU with leading universities in Colombia for bilateral cooperation in training and research activities, international seminars/conferences, student and lecturer exchanges, etc., focusing on areas including agriculture and biotechnology, engineering and technology, public health and social sciences.

At the end of the meeting, the Colombian Embassy delegation visited the campus and modern facilities of TDTU. Ambassador Camila Polo Flórez expressed her deep impression of the rapid, dynamic development and international stature of the University.

This working visit is expected to create a solid foundation for building and developing a sustainable and effective cooperative relationship between Ton Duc Thang University and Colombian educational institutions in the future.
