Vietnam–Finland International School Concludes the 2025–2026 Academic Year
On the morning of June 5, 2026, the Vietnam–Finland International School (VFIS), under Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), held its 2025–2026 Academic Year Closing Ceremony, marking a successful year highlighted by outstanding achievements in teaching, learning, and students’ holistic development.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Pekka Voutilainen, Ambassador of Finland to Vietnam, and his spouse; Ms. Le Thuy My Chau, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training; leaders of TDTU and VFIS; as well as teachers, parents, and students of the School.
A significant milestone of the 2025–2026 academic year was VFIS’s continued recognition by the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) as a “Finnish-Oriented School”. This certification acknowledges the School’s ongoing efforts to maintain and develop the Finnish educational model in Vietnam.
At the ceremony, certificates of academic completion were awarded to all students. The School also recognized 110 students for outstanding academic performance and honored 66 students with three distinguished awards: the Sisu Award, the Talent Award, and the Innovation Award. These awards celebrate perseverance, creativity, talent development, and meaningful contributions to the school community.
Notably, Grade 12 students from both the Bilingual Program and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program continued to achieve impressive university admission results. Equipped with strong academic foundations, excellent language proficiency, and well-rounded skills, many students have been accepted into prestigious universities in Vietnam and around the world.
As the 2025–2026 academic year comes to a close, VFIS continues to affirm its position as one of Vietnam’s pioneering international education models. The School remains committed to nurturing future global citizens who are knowledgeable, compassionate, responsible, and ready to thrive in an international environment.
