Ton Duc Thang University Pays a Visit and Holds a Working Session with the University of Macau (China)
On the afternoon of October 13, 2025, a delegation from Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), led by Dr. Tran Trong Dao, paid a visit and held a working session at the University of Macau (UM) – the leading public university in the Macau Special Administrative Region (China).
The TDTU delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Yonghua Song, Rector of UM, together with leaders from various university Departments.
During the meeting, both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on potential collaboration in education, research, and academic exchange.
Notably, TDTU and UM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in the following areas:
- Short-term exchange programs for students and lecturers in the fields of Science and Engineering, Tourism, and Hospitality Management;
- Joint curriculum development and the co-organization of international conferences on Artificial Intelligence, Business, and Sustainable Development;
- Enhancement of joint scientific research in Economics, Technology, Public Policy, and Health Sciences.
Founded in 1991, the University of Macau is home to approximately 15,000 students and 700 lecturers, and is ranked among the Top 185 universities globally in the THE World University Rankings 2025.
This visit and signing ceremony mark a new milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two universities, contributing to the expansion of TDTU’s international partnership network and enhancing its position and reputation within the global higher education system.
