Policy on Attracting Experts and Scientists
With the aim of developing high-quality human resources to support its teaching, research, and management missions, and to promote sustainable, substantive development in line with international standards, Ton Duc Thang University implements the following human resource attraction policy:
1/ Target Groups: The policy applies to the following groups of personnel: (i) Professors, Associate Professors, and doctoral degree holders in disciplines aligned with the University’s academic and training needs; (ii) experts and scientists holding a doctoral degree or higher, with demonstrated capacity for scientific research; and (iii) personnel recruited for management roles in accordance with the University’s Job Position Scheme, including appointments to leadership and professional management positions.
2/ Detailed Policy: In addition to the income and benefits provided under the University’s current regulations, eligible candidates, upon recruitment, are entitled to the following additional incentives:
- Distinguished Professors, Associate Professors, experts, and reputable scientists will be given priority consideration for office space and accommodation at the University’s staff housing.
- Eligible candidates are entitled to additional monthly allowances of up to VND 30,000,000 for Professors, VND 20,000,000 for Associate Professors, and VND 10,000,000 for doctoral degree holders, granted for a continuous period of 24 months from the commencement date at the University.
- Experts and scientists who are full-time research fellows or research assistants of the University are entitled to academic title and degree allowances of VND 8,000,000 per month for Professors, VND 6,000,000 per month for Associate Professors, and VND 3,500,000 per month for doctoral degree holders.
- In particular, the University offers special incentives for full-time scientists with a high number of citations, as detailed below:

- Scientists who serve as lecturers and have registered research projects are also entitled to incentives in addition to their monthly salary, with remuneration of up to VND 360,000,000 for each scientific publication.
