On July 13, 2019, Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) hosted the "Hyvää Summer Day" event with the participation of the School Board, teachers and nearly 200 parents, and students of VFIS. The Finnish language "Hyvää" means "good" so this event is also the spiritual gift VFIS wants to send to everyone before the new school year starting on 12/08/2019.

As the meaning of name, the event took place in a joyful and wholesome atmosphere with plenty of playing grounds. It not only helped students relax with their family, but also offered an occasion for children to come into interaction with sports, music, creative arts, scientific thinking and craft technology, etc. which are the specific subjects of Finnish education. Parents participating in the event also had the opportunity to speak with the Finnish educational experts about the method of educating children right from the lowest levels, particularly the orientation of equipping children with skills to act in life instead of focusing on competitions like in the present.

The enthusiasm of VFIS teaching team, the belief from parents and the desire to go to school in every eye of the students at the event also showed the passion and willingness to welcome the first generation of students in the upcoming month in August 2019 at VFIS, where is the community of equity, trust and cooperation.
