Ton Duc Thang University signed joint education cooperation agreement for granting dual degrees with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands

On the afternoon of February 07th, 2018, at the REX Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City, The signing ceremony of a joint education cooperation agreement for granting dual degrees (2 graduation degrees) was held between Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SaxionU), Netherlands in the presence of the Minister of Commerce of the Netherlands, Ms. Sigrid Kaag and the delegation during the visit and trade promotion on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Vietnam.

The signing ceremony is the further expansion of the strong relationship between the two universities over the past 12 years with many implemented activities such as 3 + 1 education cooperation; lecturer and student exchange; co-hosting international conferences; Erasmus+ scholarship program; research cooperation ... and now is the joint education cooperation for granting dual degrees. The two sides exchanged, agreed and recognized mutual training programs from 12 years ago; Up to now, there has been a common program framework to easily transfer from TDTU to SaxionU for further study whenever there is a need. In particular, the first 0.5 year of study at SaxionU, students will be exempted from tuition (according to exchange program between two sides) and only pay tuition for the last one year at SaxionU. Graduates will have the opportunity to work in the Netherlands and receive scholarships to study at higher levels. TDTU is the first university in Vietnam that SaxionU signed such joint education cooperation agreement for granting dual degrees.

Some information about Saxion University of Applied Sciences:
