On 22nd November 2017, Faculty of the Environment and Labour Safety held a seminar on Environmental Sciences and Environmental Engineering with the topic "Johkasou wastewater treatment according to Japanese standard and design” with the participation of lecturers and students from the faculty and Okamura Company (Japan). At the seminar, the lecturers and students were updated with information on Japanese standards and design of technology in wastewater and on automatic oxygen supply system.

The purpose of the event was to guide and motivate people to put rubbish in the trash bins. That was also an opportunity for students to improve their teamwork skills and English skills with American students. Besides, that students picked up garbage at the park set a good example for other people to follow as well as propagate the meaning of protecting the beauty of the environment.

Since I was a child, I have been on the streets and wondered why there is rubbish everywhere. I have noticed some empty land that after some time unexpectedly became a landfill. Along the two sides of highway, there is also rubbish. Those images are not far from us, are not in other countries, but right here in the leading city of Việt Nam: Ho Chi Minh City.

This was a regular activity to call for lecturers’ and students’ awareness of an environmentally friendly atmosphere. This was also an activity to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Tôn Đức Thắng University (24/09/1997 – 24/09/2017). The exhibition had two sections
