5G Applications: Developments and Challenges, a post-pandemic update

On the morning of September 6, 2022, the September 2022 TDTU Public Lectures session was held at Ton Duc Thang University with the theme: “5G Applications: Developments and Challenges, a post-pandemic update”.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Tran Van Hai - Director for Computing and Telecommunications at the Government Accountability Office, the US Congress. He is also a visiting Professor of George Washington University, Washington DC.

Vietnam is one of the earliest 5G deployment countries in the world. 5G technology not only affirms the advantage of data transmission speed, but also opens up completely new applications, creating a big revolution in telecommunications and the Internet. The speaker mentioned that 5G can well serve digital transformation and develop new business models, creating applications that allow faster service experiences. Many fields will be strongly innovated and improved in performance, making a significant contribution to economic and social development.

This session is an opportunity for lecturers, staff and students of the University to access knowledge from world-class experts in the field of 5G. This is also the key to entering the world of the Internet of Things (IoT) and many useful applications for the development of mankind.

The Public Lectures is a specific activity of TDTU with the aim of building an academic environment under international standards.
