The 75th Founding Anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army

On the afternoon of 20 December 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) celebrated the 75th Founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (22 December 1944 – 22 December 2019) and the 30th anniversary of Whole-People’s Defense Festival Day (22 December 1989 - 22 December 2019).

Attendees of the anniversary were Prof. Le Vinh Danh - Party Committee Secretary, President of TDTU, Heads of functional units, lecturers, staff of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, and veterans who are studying and working at TDTU.

Speaking at the anniversary, Prof. Le Vinh Danh highly appreciated the contributions of lecturers and staff from the military for the overall development of TDTU, and hoped that teachers and students on the new positions will continue promoting the superior quality of "Uncle Ho's Soldier", dedicating and spreading the beautiful cultural values of revolutionary soldiers in education at TDTU.

In a solemn and dignified atmosphere, veterans together reminisced memories of their military years and inspired the younger generations to foster their glorious achievements in learning, contributing to construct and defend our Country.

As a part of the program on the anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army’s establishment, on 15 December 2019, the Center for National Defense and Security Education organized a visit for veterans to Cu Chi Tunnels. They together burnt incense to commemorate the heroes and martyrs at Ben Duoc Temple, watched a documentary film named "Retracing Liberation Area" and took part in a real shooting activity.
