The Sport Science Faculty went on a cycling trip to explore Taiwan

From September 16 to 21, 2019, the delegation of lecturers, graduate students and students of the Sport Science Faculty of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) participated in the Taiwan Cycling Trip 2019 at the invitation of the Taiwan Ministry of Education and Taiwan University Sports Association.

The route was nearly 80 km. The team cycled through the diverse terrain of Central Taiwan. This road is planned by the local government for cycling activities, in order to encourage the practice of this sport for the public and tourists. In particular, the road around Nhat Nguyet Lake (The Sun & The Moon Lake) is rated by CNN Travel as one of the 10 most beautiful cycling routes in the world.

Participating in Taiwan Cycling Trip 2019 was a particularly useful activity for the students of the Faculty of Sport Science; this was not just a physical training session, but also an opportunity to learn and experience the practical ways of organizing community sport tourism models in order to expand their expertise.

On this occasion, the Faculty Representative also had a meeting with Chang Hua University to discuss about forthcoming cooperation programs between the two Universities, including establishing a joint research group; co-organizing an international conference; implementing exchange program for lecturers and students; granting scholarships to students; as well as continuing to maintain periodic exchanges and useful practical experiences like  theTaiwan Cycling Trip 2019.
