A working visit of the Consul General of Canada to Ton Duc Thang University

In the afternoon of October 7, 2019, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, the President of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), and Dr. Tran Trong Dao, the Vice President, welcomed the delegation of the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam to visit and work.

The delegation included Mr. Kyle Nunas, Consul General; Mr. Christian Hallé, Consul Senior Commercial Commissioner; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Tu, Commercial Commissioner of Consulate General of Canada in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Prof. Le Vinh Danh discussed the possibility of cooperation between TDTU and Consulate General as well as universities in Canada on science, technology and education. The discussion included the following agenda: participating in the implementation of joint research projects, co-organizing international conferences, exchanging students and lecturers, considering the development of collaboration degree education programs.

Mr. Kyle Nunas requests the university to cooperate with the Consulate General of Canada in setting up research projects to find solutions to the serious environmental and social issues in Vietnam, especially the provinces in the Mekong Delta.

After the meeting, the delegation visited Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) to learn about this special education model.
