On June 6 afternoon, Mr. Pham Cong Long, HR Director of The Grand Ho Tram Strip paid a working visit to Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, TDTU’s Vice President; MSc. Nguyen Quang Tien, Head of Hospitality Management Major, the Faculty of Business Administration; together with experts of the Center of Enterprise Cooperation and Alumni and the Faculty of Business Administration of TDTU welcomed the delegation.
MSc. Nguyen Quang Tien introduced about the strength of TDTU in general and the Faculty of Business Administration in particular. TDTU students in the hospitality management major, from the first year, have been sent to famous restaurants and 5-star hotels for observation and studying with a modern specialized simulation room system. In addition, English language ability and discipline of TDTU students in general and students in the hospitality management major in particular are always focused on continuous development. That makes the difference between TDTU students and other university students.
Mr. Pham Cong Long highly appreciated the discipline training program for students at TDTU. He stressed that "People who are not punctual or disciplined will not be suitable in the environment of the hospitality industry. Those who have good foreign languages and are willing to learn will quickly advance in the industry.”
The Grand Ho Tram is willing to hold seminars to facilitate TDTU students to have a better understanding of the profession. In particular, at an integrated resort like The Grand, students can not only experience unit work as a hotel model, but also learn customer care skills and handle situations for High-end guest groups like Golf or Casino. He also invited TDTU teachers to visit The Grand Ho Tram to identify potential areas for the long-term cooperation of both sides for both the Hospitality Management and Golf.
The Grand Ho Tram Strip is known as Vietnam's first world-class complex resort. The professionally trained staff, who have been working here have developed successful careers in the field of restaurants and hotels across the country. Currently, at least 3 TDTU alumni are working successfully at Ho Tram Grand in different positions.
