Seminar: ITC data analysis for racemic mixes: An Bayes-based approach

Department for Management of Science and Technology Development (Demasted) Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) announces the regular seminar program in October 2019 as follows:

Agenda: There are 03 reports to be presented at the seminar:

  1. ITC data analysis for racemic mixes: An Bayes-based approach;
  2. 5-Carboxy-2′-deoxyuridine compound can inhibit the activity of AchE enzyme;
  3. Dimension-dependent geometric isometric model for graphene platelet reinforced laminated plate analysis using stress combination and calibration theory.

Time: 14:00 - 16:00 on 25th October, 2019.

Venue: Meeting Room C, TDTU; 19 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, HCMC

Speakers: The seminar is presented by experts from Laboratory of Theoretical and Computational Biophysics (Lab TCB) and the Division of Computational Mechanics (DCM) of TDTU.

Speakers’ Biographies:

  • Dr. Nguyen Trung Hai, a member of Lab TCB and the author of more than 20 ISI articles (h-index 10), including some of prominent publications in the journals: Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (Impact factor 9.5), Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation (Impact factor 5.4), and Chemistry – A European Journal (Impact factor 5.1). Dr. Hai is one of TDTU's leading experts on methods of calculating the free binding affinity of biological systems.
  • Dr. Nga Son Tung, Head of TCB Lab and the author of nearly 40 ISI articles (h-index 12), including some of the most prominent publications in leading journals: Coordination Chemistry Reviews (Impact factor: 14.5), Journal of Biological Chemistry (Impact factor: 4.2), and Journal of Physical Chemistry B (Impact factor: 3.2).
  • Dr. Thai Hoang Chien, a member of DCM and the author of more than 50 ISI articles (h-index 24); which has featured publications in magazines: Composites Part B: Engineering. (IF = 6.864), Composite Structures (IF = 4.829), Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering (IF = 4.821), International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (IF = 4.134) and Computers & Structures (IF = 3.354). Dr Chien is one of TDTU's leading experts in the study of numerical methods for mechanical calculations.
